Which Washing Machine Inlet Adapter is required?

Hey guys,

Recently bought a CHIQ 8.5 Kg - 5Kg Combo Washer Dryer (WDFL85T48B5). On the manual it stated to connect the cold water inlet to the washing machine using the provided hose in the pictures below. However the hose head does not fit with the cold water outlet, I read somewhere to get a adapter but I have no clue which one to get. Any insights is much appreciated

Kind Regards,
Sam

Re: Which Washing Machine Inlet Adapter is required?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Lee123112. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about installing a washing machine.

The water outlet on the wall with the blue handle has two threaded outlets. The top goes to your sink tap, and there is a bottom outlet that has a metal cap on it. If the cap is removed, it's likely that your washing machine inlet pipe with screw directly onto it. I'm not familiar with that exact tap function, but hopefully, both the sink tap and washing machine will be able to take water from it at the same time. The tap might only allow one side to be open at a time, and if that's the case, you'll need a plumber to install a two-way adaptor so you can run both.

It's best to have the washing machine connected directly to the wall outlet. Even though you might be able to cobble a connection method together for the tap spout, it will not only be cumbersome but could cause flooding if the connection at the tap spout fails.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mitchell
