Is my toilet seat missing a cover?

Hi,

Have noticed my toilet seat has 2 holes at bottom on sides at base. On one side has plastic cover and other side is missing cover

Is there no cover on one side for a specific reason or simply missing?

Re: Toilet Seat missing cover?

Hi @MaxB

Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community.

These holes are to allow for attaching your toilet pan to a concealed fixing bracket that lies underneath.

It looks like you might be missing a screw as well as a cap. If you pop the cap off of the other side, can you see a visible screw? If this is the case, you may need to look up the manufacturer of the toilet so you can order a spare part.

If the toilet is not rocking and the missing cap is not an issue, I don't see a desperate need to replace anything, but it is worth considering. Depending on the size, a cap such as Taskmaster 6 - 8g White Snap On Screw Caps might work to cover it up.

Let me know if would like further assistance.

Jacob
