How to stop water leaking from waste outlet?
Hey all, my laundry drainage pipe is letting all the water out from the little hole i circled on the pipe when i was using the washing machine.
Water from the washing machine drains along the blue arrow and down the drain, apparently all the water were pushed too far and exited through the dishwasher drain hole.
I see that the U shaped pipe got threads on both ends, can i simply replace them with a normal U pipe?
Thanks a lot!
Victor

Re: Replace drain pipe
Hello @victorht
That nipple you are seeing on the waste pipe is actually where the washing machine waste pipe would be installed and a pipe clamp attached to it to prevent the pipe from flying off. If you are not using this section of the laundry trap, I suggest covering it with a Deks PVC Trap Dishwasher Outlet Cap. Simply loosen up the threaded clamp and push the rubber cover over the nipple. Once it is secure tighten up the threaded clamp over the cap to prevent it from being removed.
There is no need for you to replace the current pipe work of your laundry sink.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
