How to seal pine mouldings?
Hi, I'm adding bunnings 38x8mm pine mouldings to a bathroom wall. What do you recommend to seal them with to prevent mould?
Thanks, Wayne

Re: How to seal pine mouldings?
Hi @hayes,
It's not ideal to use untreated Pine moulding in a wet area. hardwood would be a better choice, but if your only option is Pine, you should prime and then paint it on all sides before installation. This will help protect is from moisture penetration. For the paint coating I'd recommend using a paint like Dulux 4L Interior Paint Wash&Wear +PLUS Kitchen & Bathroom Low Sheen Vivid White which is designed for bathrooms. You can also use it on you plaster walls and ceiling.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
