How to replace hinges on vanity cupboard?

How to replace hinges on vanity cupboard?

I’m repainting the inside of my vanity cupboard and have removed the mirrored door to do so. The hinges are a little rusted and have old paint on them, I would clean them up and reuse them, but the two permanent screws (the ones that stay in the brace part of the hinge) have shredded heads, so I’m thinking it best to buy replacements. The holes in the back of the mirrored door in which the hinges go is 35mm. Please see photo attached. Can anyone tell me what these hinges are called so I can find replacements? I looked on the Bunnings website without much luck.

Re: Replacement hinges for vanity mirror/cuboard

Hello @Almico

Thanks for sharing your question about your vanity mirror hinges. They are of an older set, but they might be compatible with the Hafele 105° Full Overlay Clip On Hinge - 1 Pair. I suggest bringing one of the old hinges complete with mounting base and comparing it to the hinges available at the store. Another set that could be close to the one you have is the Blum 107° Full Overlay Self Close Cabinet Hinge - 2 Pack

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Hi @Almico,

I trust you found Eric's reply helpful.

Just wanted to add that we have a step-by-step guide How to replace kitchen cabinet door hinges that you should also find helpful for this job.

Re: Replacement hinges for vanity mirror/cuboard

Thank you Eric! Just realised they are the essentially the same hinges used in modern kitchen cupboards.
