A ceramic wall tile in my shower, right where it meets the base, appears to have cracked the coloured surface. The surface is still attached to the tile underneath. Is there something I can do to stick the surface back to the tile backing.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. it's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about repairing your tile.
I suggest using Selleys 3g Super Glue Adjustable Gel to stick the tile surface back on. As the packet states, this glue allows you to position the broken piece in place before it starts to activate. A very handy feature to have especially if you are trying to precisely place the broken piece into a certain spot.
