I am stuck here and need your help. I am about to remove the seat of this spa spout. It is so difficult to turn it anti clockwise because the surface is too slippery without sufficient space. I've tried WD40, tried spanner, tried to pry open with screwdriver. Spent nearly one hour but still failed. Any idea?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @ChenKellyville. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about removing a bath spout.
Is your plan to change the spout to another one? If so, you can try using multigrips or locking pliers. Both of these tools have teeth in their jaws which typically give better grip on smooth surfaces. The downside is that they normally scratch the chrome terribly. However, this might not be an issue if you are replacing the spout.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
