How to install floor trim?
Can anyone tell me how to fix these two trims in place?
1. T strip - doesn't come with channel to clip into, will be between tile and laminate flooring, I have only seen liquid nails as an option.
2. Cove trim - installed after tiling, adhesive??
Thanks heaps

Re: How to install floor trim?
Hi @SuseMck,
Many thanks for your question. Would you also be able to share a photo of where you are installing the trim so members can see what you are working with?
Thanks,
Jason

Re: How to install floor trim?
T strip for doorway (can't use anything that screws down as this is too close to a join in the subfloor). Also to fix below.
Cove trim to possibly cover the silicone job along acrylic panels.

I'm making my way through tradie substandard work.

Re: How to install floor trim?
Hi @SuseMck,
Liquid Nails would be the general go to in such a situation for the T-strip. Any reason why you wouldn't use it, or have you had issues with it failing in the past? You'd use a wet area silicone for the cove trim to adhere it to the tiles and acrylic panel.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Re: How to install floor trim?
Thanks @MitchellMc . All of the trim that had been glued down has lifted (but it wasn't the correct fixing for the trim profile). I just wanted to double check before I fix them all. Cheers 😄
