I've noticed that our bathroom downstairs has started to build up with some white plaque looking residual between the tile and wooden frame of the bathroom door. I can see that maybe some of the black areas are potentially mould, but not sure about the white stuff.
Thank You
Hi @Yangaz,
I'd suggest wearing a mask while doing any work around it just in case.
If you run your hand over it, does it feel powdery and like it is outside of the paint?
I'm not 100% certain, but it certainly looks like mould and its recent appearance would certainly back up this suspicion.
I'd suggest you start by spraying some mould killer on it, letting it sit for 30 seconds and then wiping it off with a clean cloth.
Make sure you dispose of the cloth to ensure the mould is not transferred elsewhere.
Give this a try and let me know how you go.
Happy to assist further if required.

Thanks, @JacobZ. It does feel like it's outside the paint. I would almost need to scrape it off as it's hardened. Would this be an issue? to scrape it off?
Hi @Yangaz,
Scraping it off would not be an issue, but just to be careful, make sure you wear a mask.
You can use a paint scraper to remove it. If anything comes with it, you can always patch and paint it.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
