Hi. On some of the doors the paint is peeling, I’m wondering how can I fix them without having to paint the whole door?
As well, how can I make sure I find the right matching colour and finish?

thank you for your advice, it’s greatly appreciated

Re: peeled door paint

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @versusmanu. It's sensational to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a door.

It appears the paint on your doors is cracking and peeling in several places, so while you could try targeted repairs, a full repaint will likely provide the best, most uniform result. For small touch-ups, you’ll need to carefully sand each damaged area to create a smooth transition between the old and new paint. Use a wood filler to even out any divots before priming and painting.

If you want to match the existing colour without repainting the entire door, take a paint sample—about the size of a 10-cent coin—to your nearest Bunnings store. They can provide a custom match for you. However, even with a close match, spot painting can be challenging, as the colour and finish of existing paint often changes over time. Repainting the whole door will help achieve a consistent finish. Be sure to apply a primer first, followed by paint in the same finish—whether matte, satin, or gloss—to ensure a cohesive look across the door.

Here's a helpful step-by-step guide: How to paint a front door.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
