Hey there
I've got a leaking shower, and I've fixed a different one before (a long time ago) but I can't figure out the next step here.
The outer case/handle is off, the spindle can still turn in the same way the tap turned - but there doesn't seem to be anything to unscrew, or pull.
Any help is massively appreciated!
Hello @JohnSmithson
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's marvelous to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about your shower tap.
You are so close to being able to service your shower tap. The final step you need to take is to remove the silicone around the cover shield and screw the cover shield off. This will give you access to the locking shroud of the spindle and you'll be able to fit your shifter onto the shroud and screw the spindle off.
My best advice is to bring your damaged spindle to the store and compare it to a new one to make sure that they are the same.

Thanks so much! I wasn't confident breaking the seal - so thank you so much for the confirmation that it's necessary
