How to fix grout on shower screen?

Hello, what would be the best way to address this grouting situation outside the shower stall?

Re: How to fix grout on shower screen?

Hi @rozella52,

Could you tell us a little more about the situation? Is it just the aesthetics that need a bit of work, or are you experiencing water leakage in this area? Water leaking will take a multi-stage approach, but for looks, you could scrape out any loose grout or cut it back with a grout saw to solid material and then go over the area with a wet-area silicone. Here's a helpful guide: How to apply silicone sealant. There's likely a bit of movement around this joint, and the silicone will cope better with that.

If you see water leaking here, you need to deal with that from the shower side of the trim. Check to see if there is silicone in the area between the trim and the tile. If not, apply a bead of silicone along that joint. This will prevent water creeping under the trim and exiting on the other side.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mitchell
