i bought taps for my sink and was guaranteed they were the correct taps. They don't fit and are loose.
Tried again replacing a bath spout , took the spout to Bunnings so no mistakes this time.
Guaranteed correct spout and same size as the one I had taken in.
The spout way too large . Took it back to exchange. Staff member told me just to put plumbing tape. It doesn't work ! Spout hole is bigger than the original and won't screw on to the spindle . They keep saying it's slightly bigger but try again
Washing machine taps were the wrong type also.
Surely changing a tap or bath spout shouldn't be this hard.
What am I doing wrong. The house is more than 40 years old . Perhaps no taps fit in these old fittings?
Hello @Jacqueline1958,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your taps. Sorry to hear you have been having trouble - we would be happy to help.
Would it be possible for you to please post a few photos of the old and new taps? This will give our members a better idea of their size and shape. We can then make recommendations on how to proceed.
If you need a hand posting the photos, please let me know.
Thanks again,
Eric
