Timber and concrete-look tiles and VJ lining were part of this bathroom renovation.
The project
After living in our home and renovating it for the last seven years, this past year we managed to demolish and fully renovate our bathroom and toilet.
We have added hints of Messmate timber, VJ groove lining, a timber-look floor tile and concrete look wall tile. We accessorised it with black bathroom fittings and fixtures, and topped it all off with the beautiful accent colour - British Paints Preserved Rainforest as our feature wall. We have also replaced the old window with a larger new one taking in our beautiful views.
Steps
Step 1
Demolition time.
Step 2
Plastering the ceiling. We actually had a professional plasterer put this up with the cornice. We have hung plaster in other rooms, but we wanted this to be done by a professional. Plastering is not our forte. We sanded and painted it though.
Step 3
Hanging cement sheets and water proofing.
Step 4
Hanging the groove lining.
Step 5
Putting in the new window.
Step 6
Tiling the walls and floor.
Step 7
Painting ceiling and groove lining.
Step 8
Putting in the shower screen, new internal door, heated towel rail and mirror.
Step 9
Adding the vanity, fixtures and fittings.
Step 10
Having our tradies sort out the plumbing and electrical, here is our completed bathroom and toilet makeover that we are so very proud of.
