Thanks for your question, @pieroa.

Our resident Bunnings D.I.Y. expert @EricL will be online later today and will be able to offer some suggestions on the best way to secure your dryer bracket to the wall. Also tagging @Dave-1@Jewelleryrescue and @housetohome in case they have any thoughts.

In the meantime, can I request you to share any photos of your dryer bracket as well as the wall area where you are planning on mounting your dryer? This will give our members a better idea of what you're working with and enable them to provide more tailored advice.

Thanks,

Akanksha

Food Morning @pieroa

Drilling tiles is always scary I must admit. I usually sit there looking at it hoping to figure away around it

Just had a quick look to see what the ight way of drilling tiles is as I didnt want to leed you astray and found this video which shows nicely what to do.

How to drill into tiles Bunnings

I would use masonoary screws to screw into the brick wall. There should be instructions on what size that comes with your dryer. If you dont have the instructions you could follow along on these ones for a dryer hanging rail from Bunnings. The inststructions are at the bootom of the page.

Re: How to attach a dryer bracket to a tiled brick wall?

Hello @pieroa

Allow me to welcome you as well to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about attaching a dryer bracket to your tiled wall.

It's definitely possible, but it will take a few extra steps in order for you to anchor the dryer bracket. The general steps will be to first locate the studs behind your tiled wall. It's important to locate the wall studs so that your dryer will be properly anchored to the wall. It can't be anchored to just the tile and plasterboard wall. Once you locate the studs a horizontal timber piece will need to be attached to the stud to act as the anchor point for the dryer bracket.

Depending on the type of dryer that you have the bracket will need a minimum space of about 600mm. But its position will be influenced by the position of the studs. Drilling into the tile will require a tile drill bit and once you've gone through the tile it will just be a matter of positioning the horizontal timber piece.

I suggest having a quick look at this discussion - How do I fix a dryer bracket to existing timber batten? by @StevenNobol. It's an excellent example of how you can mount your dryer to a stud wall.

Re: How to attach a dryer bracket to a tiled brick wall?

Hello @pieroa

My apologies for skipping the part that you have a brick wall. My thanks to @Dave-1 for pointing that out. If that is the case I suggest using Ramset 300ml Chemset UltraFix PlusRamset Multifit Sieve - 4 Pack and the Ramset M12 x 160mm ChemSet Anchor Stud

It will still be necessary to drill through the tile with a tile drill bit. But when you get to the brick part, you'll need to use a masonry bit. You will still need to use a horizontal timber piece to anchor the dryer bracket.

Here is a link to a handy step-by-step guide: Ramset Ultrafix

If you need further assistance, please let us know.
