Exisiting bathtub spout hob tap
I am trying to find a solution to add a handheld shower to my bathtub without removing any tiles. Is there a hob spout extension that comes with a diverter or a handheld shower kit that directly plugs into the base of the hob spout (picture-in-picture image)?
The final goal is to just have a handheld shower that can be used inside the bathtub. (I can retain the original tap and use a temporary handheld solution if there is any).
Hello @Ne0
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about adding a handheld shower to a bath spout.
After looking through the spouts available at the store I'm afraid I can't find any method of attaching a handheld shower to your existing fitting. Technically you'll need a spout that has diverter on it, the store does carry this type of spout, but it is for wall mounting only and can't be hob mounted. Generally speaking, you can add more copper pipe to your plumbing set up so that you add an outlet for your handheld shower. But you'll need to engage the services of a licensed plumber to install it properly.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
