How to add a broom cupboard?

I want to make a broom/ ironing board cupboard in a space 25mm (w) x 65mm (d) x1600 (h). I was thinking of using 16 mm laminex whiteboard. As this board comes in larger sizes, can Bunnings cut to my measurements? Any suggestions for this and a hinged door?

Morning @rcam105

"25mm (w) x 65mm (d)"

250 mm X 650 mm?

Re: Broom cupboard

Hi @rcam105,

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

I'll assume you meant the measurements @Noyade has written down.

Our cutting service can be used to cut melamine to the nearest 100mm. For more precise cuts, unfortunately, you will have to do them at home. You can use How To Cut Laminate Benchtop as a guide for getting nice straight cuts.

For a hinged door, you can use the same melamine as the carcass, then use cabinet hinges and a cabinet handle to turn it into a door. You'll have to cut rebates in the melamine for the hinges, which a Kreg Concealed Hinge Jig will make light work of.

Let me know if you need further advice or have other questions.

Jacob
