How to fix leaking washing machine drain pipe?
Hi everyone,
Our washing machine got delivered and installed yesterday. When I put in a load, the drain pipe leaks and the opening below has a lot of water leaking from it. When I connect it to the bottom, water leaks from the top one. I gave up and put the drain pipe into the sink but water is still leaking from the bottom opening. I duct taped the bottom and it looks okay. Is there a way to close it properly as the duct taped would come off after a few loads? Thank you so much.

Re: How to fix leaking washing machine drain pipe?
Hello @Nila1
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about your washing machine drainpipe.
The installer forgot to put in a Kinetic 17-32mm 304 Stainless Steel Hose Clamp. This hose clamp will anchor the waste pipe to the nipple of the sink trap. I recommend having a quick look at this guide - How to connect a dishwasher (the techniques used are similar to connecting a washing machine).
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Eric
