Correct Fitting to connect a Sewer Pipe to the the Toilet Pan Pipe
Hi,
I have a quick question regarding fittings.
After investigating a leak around a sewer pipe, it appears the toilet pan pipe has been fitted into the sewer pipe by simply being inserted as an inner sleeve, and forced partially into the sewer pipe. This has not worked as it has not sealed,
resulting in water gushing out after each flush.
My question is, what fittings are required to correctly fit a toilet pan pipe into a sewer pipe?
Kindest Regards,
Jean-Marc Bany.

Hello @landlord
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your sewer pipe.
In this instance, I suggest engaging the services of a licensed plumber. Any plumbing work especially sewer work needs to be carried out by a licensed plumber for safety and compliance.
It's highly probable that the plumber will be using standard 100mm PVC sewer fittings. If the angle of the turn is 45 degrees for example, they will use a Holman 100mm 43° M-F PVC DWV Plain Bend. Depending on the distance and configuration the plumber will also probably use a Deks 100mm EW To PVC Rubber Joiner Adaptor if you have terracotta sewer pipes in the ground. It all depends on what they find once they start digging.
I strongly suggest calling this in as soon as possible as the wastewater coming out of the pipe is a health hazard.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Re: Correct Fitting to connect a Sewer Pipe to the the Toilet Pan Pipe
Good Evening Mr EricL,
Thank you for firstly taking the time to respond, it is very much appreciated.
I am also grateful for the links to the parts required that will be needed to correctly fit the soil pipe to the sewer pipe.
I am located in a remote town of Ivanhoe 2878 NSW, and getting suitable repairers can be difficult due to it's remoteness of the town.
Apologies for asking, but can you recommended a suitable plumber for my town that Bunnings use as fitters for their plumbing products. The nearest Bunnings store is located in Griffith NSW. "Kidman Way, Griffith NSW 2680". Any help would be greatly apprectaed.
Kindest Regards,
Jean-Marc Bany.

Re: Correct Fitting to connect a Sewer Pipe to the the Toilet Pan Pipe
Hello @landlord
I'm sorry but Bunnings do not endorse trades. I suggest posting the job on Airtasker or Hipages and making sure to put as much detail as you can about the job. By putting in what is expected, hopefully you'll get an immediate response to your post.
If you need further assistance, please let me know.
Eric
