Hi, Can bunnings tint my 10 litre white paint that I bought from bunnings a few years ago and just opened the can today? I am happy to pay a cost for the tinting service to get a good match to a sample I have? Thanks charlie
Hi @charliedavies,
Thank you for your question.
This is not typically something we do as there is no guarantee that the colour will match the expected outcome.
If you still have your receipt, you may be able to return the paint and swap it for a new tin that can be tinted with confidence.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Jacob
Hi Jacob, ok thanks for that but you did say in another post that bunnings will sell you the tint you need and you take it home and mix it yourself, no guarantees? Is that still the case. Are other tinting concentrates available to buy from bunnings as well...like blue?
Thanks charlie
Hi @charliedavies,
Our Paint Experts at your closest Bunnings store can provide you with the tints so you can add them to your paint, provided that the colour you're after is mixed from a white base. If it's a strong or vibrant colour then the chances are it can't be mixed from a white base. Typically, lighter colours and off-whites are mixed from a white base.
There is a charge for the tint, but you'll then be able to alter your white paint.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
