How to fix kitchen sink overflow?

Hi I have a double kitchen sink . It has this attached to it as was using as a temp washing machine drain, not been used for over a year. Today water has began leaking from it and when I turn on kitchen taps it gushes out. Any ideas ?

Thank you for your question about how to stop water from overflowing from your waste pipes.

Can you advise which part of the pipe the water is coming from?

Is it through this waste outlet?

 

If so, you can use a Deks PVC Trap Dishwasher Outlet Cap to cap off the waste outlet.

If it is coming from another area, please advise so I can offer further advice.
