How to remove and replace lock?
i am hoping to replace this "Lockwood Element Nexion Vision L3 Mechanical Entrance Lockset as it is current instantly jamming despite applying silicon lubricant.
How do I pop the screw cover off to get to the screws behind to see the cut out. As this would help me determine which keyless lock would suit. This is my main entrance door lock so would require something with more sustenance.

Re: how do i remove this current lock and recommend replacement
Hi @eloise89,
Thank you for your question.
You should be able to use a flat tool like a flathead screwdriver or something like a butter knife to pop the screw covers off. They are just a little rubber cap, so they will flex a bit, but they shouldn't be too difficult to remove.
Alternatively, we can use the Nexion Mechanical Lockset - Installation Instructions and Template to see what holes are beneath your door.
When you say you want to know what keyless lock would suit, are you looking at using a smart lock?
Unfortunately, as your lock requires a large hole where the key is inserted and the actual latching mechanism is up higher in the door, I haven't been able to find a smart lock that would be usable on your door without some patching.
You may be able to use the technique shown in How to repair a hole in an internal door to patch the hole for the lock, meaning your options open up greatly.
It would still be best to check what holes are beneath your door before we decide on a replacement. Let me know how you get on removing the lock and what you find beneath.

Re: how do i remove this current lock and recommend replacement
Thanks for the great advice! I was able to pop the screw cover off using a safety pin.
This is what I have to work with under the current lock. I will look at patching one of the holes up to open up to more options. Are there anyone you would recommend?

Great work @eloise89.
If you are looking for someone to patch the hole, you might like to enlist them through a service such as Hipages or Airtasker.

Re: how do i remove this current lock and recommend replacement
The reason I was considering changing this was because the key is getting stuck quite often. I have used silicon lubricant but to no avail. I read the review for this lock and seems that others have the same issue.
@MitchellMc would you recommend replacing it or try fixing the current. If replacing, which one.

Re: how do i remove this current lock and recommend replacement
If the lock is faulty or broken, there is likely not much you could repair within it @eloise89. Replacement would typically be the only option.
If you're willing to fill holes, then that opens it up to a wider range of entrance lever lock sets. Something like the Lane Brushed Satin Chrome Oxford Touch Plus Entrance Set could be a good match.
