No, the mines were always nice and cold, one of the jobs of the electricians was to ensure that the positive pressure fans didn't stop working.
These were very large 3 phase fans that you never got close to when they were operating, unless you were behind them and greasing the bearings.
You also didn't have long hair when working around them either.
