Hi all.
Would anyone be able to advise where to purchase a cost-effective furniture fabric paint please?
Thanx in advance.
Charley.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Charley. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about fabric paint.
I'm not aware of any specialised fabric paints. One of our suppliers, Rust-oleum, did do a fabric spray paint, but last time I checked, it had been discontinued. It does still appear to be manufactured, but potentially not in Australia. If you're passing through a store it might be worth double-checking with our Special Orders team to see if they could source you anything.
Let me mention a couple of our members @prettyliving and @craftyhopper to see if they had any ideas.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi @Charley
You can find Dupli-Colour in most automotive shops. I have used the black on outside furniture before. The furniture has faded a lot and was a very light grey. As it needs a lot of paint to make it black, the fabric became quite rough and “crispy”, but for outdoor furniture it wasn’t too bad.
This is all I have come across and used.
Don’t bother buying the wash in ones. They simply don’t work.
hope this helps
Hi @Charley
What type of fabric are you hoping to paint? I know most arts & craft stores sell different fabric paints.
Is this any good or fabric car roofl lining
Hello @markbreeze
Welcome to the Bunnings workshop community. Thank you for joining the discussion.
Let me tag @prettyliving and @craftyhopper to make them aware of your question. I suppose if you could get the exact same colour of the roof fabric you might be able to get away with it. But roof fabric is more carpet-like and has very short fibres when compared to t-shirts. I suppose the only way to find out is to test a small area and see if you get a flat finish.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
