Hi All!
I have some steel table legs (https://www.australianhairpinlegs.com.au/product-page/straight-flat-steel-dining-legs) that I will be screwing onto some 24mm Plywood Table Tops. My question is - what is the correct/best hardware to use for this?
Thanks,
Anni
Hi Anni (@AAtkinson),
You'll want to use the longest screw possible without it breaking through the surface of the plywood. Without knowing the size of the holes in the legs I could only provide a suggestion. Of the available screws around that size, I would advise using Zenith 12G x 25mm Galvanised Hex Head With Seal Type 17 Timber Screws. You can remove the rubber washer as it is of no use in this application. I would pre-drill the holes with a Ryobi 3mm HSS Drill Bit. Alternatively, you could use Pinnacle 4.0 x 25mm Black Countersunk Timber Screws. You'll need to check to see if the head of the screw is larger than the hole in the leg.
Please let me know if you need further information or had questions.
