Removing old paint from Cot

Hey experts,

I have an old cot and changing table which has been painted (blue)to match walls previously.

I am interesting in restoring it to the original color.

was watching this video, and wanted to know which paints and amount of stripper to be used.

After stripping how do I paint it to match with the original color.

Re: Removing old paint from Cot

Hello @kingj

Thank you for sharing your question about removing paint from a cot.

Removing the paint from your cot can be achieved with sanding or using a chemical paint stripper. However, using a paint stripper might do more damage as it is close to the finished pieces. I recommend using an Ozito 200W Detail Sander. This Detail Sander is great for sanding in tight areas and corners such as between louvers, stair corners, and window frames. It also comes with a packet of commonly used sandpaper for furniture restoration.

Once you've sanded the paint off the cot, I suggest bringing one of the pieces to your local store and ask the paint specialist for a paint match. Photos at the moment can't be used as a reference for colour matching.
