How to secure two ends of a frame?

r/BeginnerWoodWorking - Novice question: What’s the best way to join 2x4s at a corner laying flat like this.

What would be the profesional way of securing these 2 ends? 

in a stronger method perphaps?

Hi @Ranuga,

 

Depending on the application, screwing straight through the side of the timber on the left into the end of the timber on the right would be suitable. You're best to predrill to avoid splitting of the timber. For added support, you could then install an angle bracket on the inside of the joint.
