Hi all,
I can't get these recessed LED globes out for the life of me!
I've tried the 'push and rotate' but I can't even feel the spring compress.
Anybody have any handy tips?
Many thanks
Hi @schroeds,
I would suggest that the white ring around the globe is not part of the globe but actually the retaining ring. I'm unaware of a tool that would be used to remove it using the three holes, but I suspect it might need to be 1/4 turned anti-clockwise to release it. You could try using a couple of small nails in the holes to gain some purchase.
You might find that this is a non-replaceable globe, which is becoming quite regular in this type of fitting. In theory, the globe could last for close to a decade if it runs for its expected lifespan. It would be worth reaching out to the manufacturer to determine whether the globe can be replaced. If it was one of our products and you could Identify it for me, then I'd be happy to contact the manufacturer to determine this.
Let me tag @Noyade and @Dave-1 to see if they have any thoughts.

Afternoon @schroeds
I was just going through using google image search to see if I could find the model. Came across similar but more surprsingly it said the bulb was "integral" 😕 It follows along the lines of what @MitchellMc has suggested.
I thought maybe its an "ES" type bulb, tho that seems to be a rarity. or as MitchellMc has pointed out it could be a locking ring.
Is there any model marking on the rear of the unit? or do you remember where you purchased it from?
Two ideas come to mind,
One - using a small pick try and pull the bulb towards you (could be a straight pin styled lamp) hook the pic into one of those three holes and pull gently but firmly. (It would potentialy be why you couldnt feel it move when pushing it)
Two - I would gently do the same thing MitchellMC has suggested with a screwdriver and gently tap the locking ring so it unwinds.

Bingo guys! I used a tiny screwdriver and unscrewed what turned out to be a reflector, not a globe. Dead right.. it's non-replaceable.
There go my automated/remote lighting options
Thanks very much
Afternoon @schroeds
Cheering but at the same time that is frustrating.
Opens up to a new style of remote lighting tho, you still have all your cabling so maybe you could looking into new lights? There are some projects amongst these pages that deal with lighting that may be interesting Or ask a new question about lighting
Someone will have an idea that will match up to what you want.
