Hello,
I have a small leak in my Roof, but unable to find a roofer to fix it and going to do it my self. First up is to extend the down pipe, straight into the gutter as the water spalsh in heavy rain.
My Question, what is the best way to extend this pipe is it simply pluggin in and connect a longer pipe with a downwardnossel into the gutter.
Hi @JustinMcAbbe,
It's best to check with your local council or building regulatory authority to see whether a qualified drainage professional is needed to connect the roof piping. Connecting the piping would likely be a simple task for them, and you'd be covered for home insurance purposes.
As pointed out in your image, there are several points where the leaking could be occurring. Given the relatively complex nature of resolving a roof leak, I'd encourage you to continue your search for someone who specialises in the area.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
