I want to intall a glass door gate in my back yard, but some panel bunnings is selling with no holes to hinge, does anyone know how to drill holes on glass or bunnings can just do it when we purchase? Thanks
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @lili123. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about installing a glass gate panel.
We have a couple of glass panel gates that have fixing holes pre-drilled in them. You should not attempt to drill into the fence panels as they will shatter, which is dangerous.
Something like the ProtectorAl 1200 x 890 x 8mm Glass Gate Panel should hopefully work for your project. What size gap are you working with? You then have the ProtectorAl 46 x 55 x 110mm Glass To Wall / Post Gate Hinges so you can fix it to a wall or post.
If you are not confident working with the glass fence panels, then it would be best to enlist the services of a professional installer. They shatter very easily if knocked. Remember to wear PPE, including cut-resistant gloves, safety glasses, a long-sleeved shirt and trousers, and enclosed footwear.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
