How to change light shade on Arlec DCF5240 fan?

Try as i might i can not remove the light shade/cover to clean or replace a globe if one blows.

I have tried to twist but scared i will break the shade.

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Ken6. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about changing a light shade.

The Arlec DCF5240 includes an LED panel light, which should provide tens of thousands of hours of light and shouldn't need to be replaced for many, many years. If the panel fails, you would order and replace the whole sealed light fitting. 

Due to it being a sealed fitting, the hope is that you don't need to clean inside it. Have you experienced issues where you need to clean inside the fitting?

To remove the light fitting and gain access to the internals that would require disconnecting it from the fan and you'd need an electrician for that.
