Workshop community update #78

Hi all,

Workshop members have obviously been motivated by the warmer weather to get stuck into new projects around the house and garden.

It’s been fantastic to see plenty of fantastic projects posted and members helping each other by sharing their knowledge and experience.

Many thanks to all members of the Workshop community who have posted over the past couple of weeks. The top members who posted the most popular content in the past fortnight were @LePallet, @Yorky88, @kel, @ProjectPete, @Rodney and @Adam_W. We look forward to more of your posts.

Some of the interesting posts on Workshop over the past week included:

• @Wendy_S got fantastic advice from woodworkers about adding to the colour of hardwood

• @ProjectPete is looking for ideas for a new sunken firepit and for a Grasscrete sitting area for his new home build

• The community shared their feedback about keyless locks

• Newbie @Bec1975 got the thumbs up that she can carefully plant her lemon tree, even though it has been in a pot for over five years

• @Beachbox shared two fantastic Hamptons-style projects – a lamp table and a planter stand

• @bambi received some suggestions for timber borders for her fig trees

• Members were quick to offer great suggestions to @Dilini86 about her project to build a D.I.Y. photo frame

• @wannabebulda got advice about dismantling pallets

• Newcomer @Kcmb asked for help with hiding a hot water system in an outdoor entertaining area

• @Goldmember shared the best Halloween costume he’s ever seen

• @Hansi is still looking for the best solution for an inexpensive makeover for his 50s-era fibro house.      

Meanwhile on the Workshop Gallery, both new and established community members shared some wonderful creations. Highlights included a Cosplay helmet from @scifanatic, a striking wooden sign by @Shannon featuring a bicycle chain, a beautiful breakfast bench from @LePallet, an eye-catching shelf for the smallest room in the house by @Rodney, a ladder shelf from @woodalwaysworks, a café island table from @Manzoe, @kel’s front yard makeover and a garden planter made from an old tool box by @wannabebulda.
