Front door makeover

Making our homes entrance a little bit more glamorous with a front door makeover! Also a much needed achievement to boost the motivation levels and continue a very long DIY renovation!

You have made a glamorous entrance indeed! Did you sand back the door before painting or did you use a primer? Did you use a polish for the door handles?

Hi Katie, 

Thanks for the kind words. We spent hours sanding them back to their original form as they were painted with an awful brown paint. Took a lot of priming and coating but they came up great. All handles and fittings were also polished with Brasso to bring them back to their original colour. No more yucky green colour!

We can definitely see that lots of love went into this front door! It's great that the handles and fittings were able to be restored easily, green just wouldn't do for this grand entrance.
