We have bought a house and want to replace all the external door locks. Is it possible to save money and just replace the keyed cylinders, or do we need to replace the whole knob/handle?
Thanks
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @hessian86. It's fantastic to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about replacing lock cylinders.
In some circumstances, it is possible to replace cylinders, depending on whether the manufacturer of the lock supplies them. If they are a brand that we supply, then I'd be more than happy to contact the manufacturer for you. If they are ours, then if you can provide any details you have on the locks and images, I can reach out to them. Let me know if you need a hand uploading photos.
Unless you are going to replace the cylinders yourself, you might find it cheaper to replace the knob/handle yourself than have a locksmith change the cylinders.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
