3. Use planter boxes
Planter boxes can be a great way to add greenery and a feature to your backyard. While giving her small yard a makeover, Marlie (@marliemakesit) used planter boxes, pavers and thoughtful planting to turn an unused space into a garden oasis.

4. Build a bench seat
Relax and enjoy your backyard by adding a bench seat. Sandra (@sandy_d)'s easy and popular corner makeover included building a bench seat made using Besser blocks and a concrete planter. She then added paving slabs and stones around the seat, turning an empty backyard space into a cosy corner.
Inspired by Sandy's creation, experienced Workshop member Rob (@Peggers) has shared step-by-step instructions for building your own Besser block bench seat.
5. Build a spice rack

Here’s a step-by-step guide how to build your own slimline spice rack by resident Bunnings D.I.Y. expert Mitchell (@MitchellMc).
6. Install a cabinet
You can never have enough storage in the home. Rufaro (@diy_hausdesigns) built a custom wine-rack cabinet to maximise storage in an awkward space in his kitchen.
