Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about painting your fence.
If your fence has just been recently installed, I suggest letting it season for six to eight weeks or longer if it happens to rain quite often. This will allow all the tannins and chemical preservatives to leach out of the surface of your fence panels. Once the fence has properly seasoned, I suggest using a pressure washer to clean the fence surface. Once the fence is totally dry you can then choose to paint or stain it in whatever colour you like.
