Re: screen in front porch

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @detfd. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about enclosing an area.

There are many ways to enclose your front porch to stop your cats from running away, and the best method will depend on your preferences and the specifics of the space. The one thing you'll definitely need is a door to allow entry and exit. Beyond that, it’s really up to you to decide what materials and design would work best.

For example, you could go with netting if you want a lighter, more open feel, or use slatted timber panels if you're aiming for a more solid look. Timber screening can be a great option, but keep in mind it could block some light from coming through the door and window. Other options might include mesh panels, aluminium framing, or even PVC panels depending on the style and durability you're after.

What kind of look are you aiming for? Do you have any preferences for materials, or are there any specific features you want to include (e.g., style, budget, durability)? If you can provide some details or ask specific questions, we can better guide you on the best way to go about it. Our community members would be happy to offer more tailored advice based on what you have in mind.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
