Re: lealing water pump

Hello @Ana11

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about your water pump.

Just a friendly reminder that any plumbing works must be carried out by a licensed plumber for safety and compliance.

It's possible that the thread seal of the threaded brass parts have deteriorated due to the constant vibration of the water pump. Generally speaking, the brass parts would be taken apart and new sealing tape would be applied to the brass threads and then it would be re-installed. However, the pump must be reprimed properly and any air trapped in the system must be purged before the pump is turned on.

Because it is quite involved, I suggest engaging the services of a licensed plumber to fix your leaking pump. The repair will be done to code and will be covered under the plumber's warranty.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Re: lealing water pump

Hello @Ana11

I'm sorry, but I'm unable to make recommendations in regards to the trades. I propose posting the job on either Airtasker or Hipages. Make sure to include pictures and a clear description of the type of repair you are after. Hopefully you'll get an early response. My best advice is to get at least two quotes and make sure to ask for a reference so that you can see what they have done in the past.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
