Hi there,
im adding a pit to my landscape storm water drainage to filter out silt etc… just wondering how to connect the pit boss to the pit itself. I understand how to sit the adapter to the outside of the pit but it has places for screws I’m assuming and doesn’t feel like a great idea to put holes into a water tight container. Also what kind of silicone would I use for these?
thanks in advance.
Tony.
Hi @Tony_A,
It's great to see that @Jewelleryrescue has already pointed to the previous discussion on this topic. A few dabs of silicon over the screws will seal them sufficiently.

Much appreciated guys thank you. Just to confirm is there any particular silicone I should be using? Selleys roof and gutter, will that work?
hi @Tony_A
Get some PARFIX brand silicon for wet areas its less money per caulking tube to date.
$8.85. I would silicone inside and out as it will be in the ground a long long time.
enjoy.
Evening @Tony_A
Just to show a couple more pics of the pit and connections. This was from some stormwater work I did a couple of years back.
I didnt use any silastic Yeah I know I probarly should have but figured to come back and do so later.... Fast forward a couple of years and still nope. However its working very well I have covere dthe pvc pipes in gravel which also will funnel any water down the path of least resistance
