How to fix holes in the Hebel?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @sam8. It's sensational to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about filling a whole in Hebel.
To fix holes in Hebel (aerated concrete blocks), you can use a cement-based filler like Nordsjo Professional 330g Rapid Repair Filler. Start by cleaning the area around the hole to remove any loose debris or dust. Apply the filler evenly into the hole using a putty knife or trowel, ensuring it is slightly overfilled to account for shrinkage as it dries.
Once the filler is applied, use a stiff-bristled paint brush to stipple the surface, creating a texture that matches the surrounding Hebel wall. This step is important for blending the patched area seamlessly with the rest of the wall. Allow the filler to dry completely according to the manufacturer’s instructions before sanding lightly if needed or painting over the repaired area to finish the job.
