Re: whats the best RAT trap
Hi @Cranswick,
The Big Cheese Rat Cage Trap is a live capture system, making it ideal if you prefer a humane approach and wish to relocate or dispose of the rat yourself. Its durable galvanized mesh and ease of use are suited for outdoor sheds and in areas exposed to the elements. However, regular checking and handling of captured rats is required, which can be less convenient.
In contrast, the Big Cheese Ultra Power Neo-Zap Electronic Rat Killer offers a quick and effective solution with its electrical charges, capable of neutralizing over 50 rats per battery set. It's easy to set up and operate, but it's designed for indoor use only and is not a live capture system. This trap is better for rapid extermination in enclosed spaces but is not suitable for outdoor environments, but it will be fine within the shed.
Both the Big Cheese Rat Cage Trap and the Big Cheese Ultra Power Neo-Zap Electronic Rat Killer are effective tools for managing rat infestations. However, for either trap to work best, it's important to eliminate other food sources in the area. Without removing these alternative food supplies, rats might simply relocate to find nourishment elsewhere, reducing the effectiveness of the traps. Addressing all potential food sources ensures that the traps can effectively control the rat population and prevent ongoing issues.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
