What colour should I paint the fence?

I want to paint this fence in the pictures but my other side fence and back fence is colourbond monument, but I think it will make my house to dark on this side of the fence, it’s very close to my two windows. 
what colour would you recommend, plus this area I’ve got as a catio, 

the rest is where my clothes line is, and the rest is into my back garden! I hope the pictures give an idea of my fence and the closeness to my windows thanks

Since your other fences are Colourbond Monument, which is a deep grey, and the fence you're thinking of painting is close to your windows, you'll want to avoid making the area feel too dark or enclosed.

Here are a few colour suggestions to keep the area light and bright, while still coordinating with your existing fences:

• Soft Charcoal or Grey: A lighter grey, like Dune or Shale Grey, could provide a nice contrast to your Colourbond Monument fences without being too dark. It will blend well with the overall colour scheme but still keep the space feeling lighter and more open.
• Warm Neutral Tones: Consider shades like Cappuccino, Sandstone, or Stone. These will provide a warm, natural feel and help keep the area bright, especially near your windows.
• Muted Green or Sage: If you want to bring in some greenery that complements your catio, a soft green like Pale Eucalypt or Olive could work well. It ties in nicely with the garden and gives a calming, natural look.
• Light Beige or Off-White: For a fresh, clean look, a light neutral such as Dulux Lexicon Quarter or Whisper White could brighten up the space and help prevent it from feeling too dark next to your windows. These shades will also give a clean backdrop for your plants and catio.

In general, lighter tones or soft muted colours will work best for keeping the area feeling spacious and bright.

@jeanieB definately a lighter colour for this area. Depends on what you are wanting to achieve and or feel when you sit in that area, To what colour you select. If you would like like something more tranquil and relaxing as @JacobZ suggested sandstone or stone would feel more relaxing and natural and probably tie in with mortar in bricks etc

I like the idea of oiling the timber fence, I just redid a bunch of timber screens, bench seats and decking with merbou oil. It really brought the timbers back to life. The red would work with the monument grey but maybe be a bit dark overall. There are neutral colurs of oil that will protect the timber and not colour it so deeply. Examples are shown in the paint isles

I am tempted with @JacobZ 's suggestion of a muted green / sage as it will make the area feek cooler at least in the mind

The painting may be a better option especially with the catio area. Not sure how long the area would be off limits if oiled, I know it takes 6hrs ish per coat but the smell does hang around for a few days (maybe a week)

I would have liked the oil idea, and with it being that catio maybe they would get it over there coats if it takes a while to dry

Yeah I know that concern, it walkable within 4hrs I think and recoat in 6hrs. I have never noticed oil on my clothing after the next day tho cats noses are a LOT more sensitive then ours Cant wait to see the fence! Take a bunch of photos and post a project as there are a lot of people in here that like catio areas
