I am getting ready to prep my turned wood verandah posts and some of them have some cracks in them (house is 10 yo). I am after some advice re filling the cracks to make a better surface when painting. Posts are on the west side of my house so therefore get hot afternoon sun.
I appreciate any input. 😀

Hi @Helen_B. Many thanks for your question, I'd be happy to answer it for you.
The product I would recommend would be Timbermate 1kg Earl's Multiflex White Exterior Flexible Filler as it is a flexible, paintable and an exterior grade product. It would be best to go with a flexible filler so if there is any heat expansion or contraction the filler will not crack from it.
If you would like more information about the product or questions about its application, please let me know.
