Got the metal leg from an online store. Then built up the top from material bought from Bunnings Warehouse.
Hello @Joseph2
Thank you for sharing your outdoor bistro table project. It looks fantastic, I love that matt black finish of the steel leg. Can you please tell us how you painted the leg or did it come already painted? What sealer did you use on the timber table? Your set-up looks very nice, all you need now is the cappuccino machine and a sandwich press to complete the bistro feel.
Again, thank you for sharing such a wonderful table project.
Eric
Looks great @Joseph2, in addition to Eric's questions, I'm also keen to hear what timber you used for the top.
Well done and many thanks for sharing.
Jason
Hi EricL,
The leg was bought, from an online shop, already painted. Where as for sealing, I did not have to do this, as I used the SpecRite AcaciaGolden Teak laminated Shelving, from Bunnings. I cut and glued to the dimension that I wanted, 800x800. Some framing underneath and mouldings on the side. Light sending and applied, Maple tint, to get it a little bit darker. Then applied the Cabothane Clear Gloss CFP floor Polyurethane. Light sanding again then applied on top, after the Polyurethan has dried off, Clear timber varnish Satin to get the matt look finish.
Many thanks for the additional details, @Joseph2. I'm sure any of our members wishing to replicate your amazing work will appreciate them.
Congrats on creating a beautiful table, and I can't wait to see what project you tackle next.
