i need to install this wooden sign board on a concrete column. The material is about 1mm thick. What tools do I need to drill holes and what type of screws do I need to use for mounting it? Do I need any special type of drill bits??
I just have a 12V ozito drill and drive. Can I make it happen with it ?
Thanks
Hi @srik42
I would only silicon that sign onto the column as silicon is removable and the sign will be removalbe into the future,
No hole drilling needed.
Apply the silicon not all the way to the edges as to allow you some adjustment room and no messy silicone squeeze outs.
Then use cloth tape to hold it in place for 24 hours.
Cover the screw holes with a nice little decoration also use silicon as a glue for that.
Hi. Can I use gorilla glue instead?
Hi @srik42
I prefer clear silicone as it will peel of and leave less residue marks behind
Is Gorilla clear ? ok use that to or if it is brown it will be hard to get it off the bulding but use it if you wish it should be fine.
Hi @srik42,
If you don't have a hammer drill you can use your drill with a Diablo 6 x 150mm Multi-Material Drill Bit. You'll then be able to install wall plugs and attach the sign with screws through it into the plugs.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
