This is great, many thanks for sharing @LePallet.
Bunnings is going to feature your fantastic work on the playhouse in an upcoming email to its subscribers. What tips could you share with readers who might be interested in replicating your project? And what materials did you use?
Thanks again,
Jason
Oh awesome @Jason
A few tips would be first, if you were wanting to make this as cheap as possible, finding scrap timber ia the thing to do. This can be done on Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree is at house job sites. I just go around to job sites and ask the boys if they have any off cuts they are not using or any timber left at the end which works well. I used 90x35 pine but 70x35 is good also for the walls and roof frame. There are also roofing materials available so don’t be afraid to ask. Also the roof pitch was 45 degrees, makes it easier when marking at cutting all the angles
We built the walls and floor seperate as we needed to transport the cubby in sections, then we built the roof last and attached that to the walls. Make sure all the edges are sanded well to save splinters for the kids.
Materials used.
Pine 90x35, 70x35
Treated Pine Plinth Boards 150x25
Pine Pallets
Upcycled pine floor board (flooring)
Colourbond Roof + Flashings
