The cord that holds the umbrella up has snapped while in use which also broke some metal arms. It was very myself and children playing underneath.
From what I’ve seen, through search, these cords often snap/break. It appears to be a common problem? This umbrella is only 6 months old.
It’s a large item to bring back in to store (I would need to hire a trailer). Therefore, I’d like to know if this is covered under warranty? Also, if it is worth getting a replacement since the cords breaking in these is a common problem?
We are looking for something that can be used safely to provide shade for our children, we are outside every morning or afternoon.
Your advice is greatly appreciated
Hello @pba
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about your Mimosa Umbrella.
Depending on the model and year that you purchased it, Mimosa Umbrellas have a 3-year warranty. If it is less than 3 years old and you have a copy of the docket or proof of purchase on your bank account statement, you can claim the warranty on the umbrella. I also recommend speaking to the customer service team and explaining to them what has happened.
Please note that if the umbrella is still under warranty, I suggest bringing it along with your proof of purchase.
If you need further assistance, please let me know.
