How to water plants on my balcony?

Hi,

I just moved to an apartment with a large balcony.  My many plants survived winter but they need watering for the hot summer.
What do you suggest?
There is no tap on balcony.
I like to setup a drip hose.
Thanks

Re: How to water plants on my balcony?

Hi Dave,

I am wondering if this

"Switch Faucet Adapter Kitchen Sink Splitter Diverter Valve Water Tap Connector D"  will do the job?

The existing mixer needs to be replaced soon.

Thanks.

Kathy

Hello @mybalcony

Let me tag @Dave-1 to make sure he's aware of your question. I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with the Switch Faucet Adapter. However, if you are changing your sink tap and it has an aerator on it, I suggest using the Pope Indoor Tap Adaptor. It's an easy clip-on system that allows you to attach a standard garden hose to your kitchen tap without having to use large fittings.

Here is a handy step-by-step guide:

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Thank you Eric

Good suggestion.

Need to check if my kitchen mixer tap is compatible.

I am ordering this online too.

Re: How to water plants on my balcony?

Morning @mybalcony

Mmmm I am unsure of the adapters thread matching either your existing tap (or the new one when you replace it)

Just had a look on the Bunnings website and cant see anything as nice a sthe one you have shown, I would suggest to see what type of thread that one has for the tap spout end and also the new tap you are thinking of  thread to see if the are suitable. My first thought was justa  rubber connector to slip over the tap not something that would permantly be on the tap (will be a lot less hassel I think your way)

Re: How to water plants on my balcony?

Thanks Dave.

There is a risk of incompatility ... and Amazon is generally helpful with returns.

It costs $11.50 and worth trying.

Connecting to the kitchen sink tap needs the switch diverter.  Otherwise disruptive to cooking and cleaning.

I am getting it today and will soon find out.
