Hi brain trust ,
First time attempting this, I aim to construct a circular bench for seating around a firepit. The ground base consists solely of soil without any paving or concrete.
Anyone can confirm if the following procedure is correct 🫂:
1) Begin by preparing the base, excavating approximately 7cm depth of soil and replacing it with road base.
2) Compact the road base thoroughly.
3) Apply fast-set mortar to secure the initial layer of bricks. Considering adding three rows* of bricks to enhance stability.
4) Once the first layer is in place, proceed to stack additional layers atop the initial one. Utilize a caulk gun and liquid nails to adhere the bricks together.

Hello @ivanptr
It sounds like a good plan. My best advice is to make sure that the weather is nice and sunny for at least three days. This will give the concrete and the adhesive enough time to cure properly. If it rains too much it will ruin the concrete base of the bricks and you'll have to start all over again.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
