Hi,
I had an agi drain installed along the length of the house - 1.m away from from steps to try and stop ground water getting under the house.
ive had some heavy rain falls since it was installed but have never seen a drop of water come from the agi-pipe.
my question is: how much water/rainfall would be expected to see the agi-drain pick up water?
thanks
Hello @perda,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. Thank you for joining us and sharing your concern about your agi drain.
If your agi drain has recently been installed, the earth from the freshly dug channel may still be absorbing the rainwater. One way to test your drain is to find the start of the line and dig out some of the gravel until you see the agi pipe. Using your garden hose run some water into it and have a mate at the other end of the pipe observe if the water is running out.
You can also observe if the drain has failed by looking under the house and see if water has come through and bypassed the drain. In this instance, you may have to consider other options.
If you need more assistance please let us know.
